Bisexual Health Awareness MonthπŸ’—πŸ’œπŸ’™

Bisexuality is thought of as the invisible part of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) acronym, when Bisexuals actually make up the largest segment of the LGBT+ population. Bi people still experience a great amount of hostility and it is still very much a taboo despite increased campaigns to raise awareness. It has also become a lot more complicated with the advance of LGBT+.

So why are bisexual people targets? Let’s dispel some of the most popular stereotypical misconceptions:

πŸ’— It’s not just a phase. It’s about being attracted to the person, not their gender πŸ’—

πŸ’œ Bi people not inherently cheaters because of their sexuality πŸ’œ

πŸ’™ It’s not about being greedy, it’s about loving people for who they are, not what they are πŸ’™

πŸ’— Bisexuals are not scared of commitment, they are scared of not being understood and accepted for who they are πŸ’—

πŸ’—

BISEXUALITY IS VALID AND YOU ARE NO LESS BISEXUAL IF YOU DATE SOMEONE OF THE OPOSITE GENDER

πŸ’œ

REMINDER THAT BIROMANTIC IS ALSO VALID AND YOU CAN HAVE A PREFRANCE OF WHO YOU WANT TO DATE VS WHO YOU PREFER TO HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH
