TIP 1
Use the persons' correct name and pronouns - But make sure it's a safe space to do so.
TIP 2
Do your own research - It's okay to ask questions but make sure they're educated ones.
TIP 3
Challenge other prejudices - Challenge deadnaming, misgendering, and transphobia; and educate those willing to listen.
TIP 4
Use gender-neutral and inclusive language - Steer away from 'ladies and gentlemen' and 'man/woman' use neutral terms like 'everybody' or 'person'.
TIP 5
Don't make assumptions - Gender expression doesn't equal gender identity, so if you're unsure ask about their pronouns.
TIP 6
Be a physical presence - Trans people are not always safe in public spaces. offer to accompany your friend to the bathroom, walk them home and offer to attend appointments.
